Join an interesting photography workshop and see local Bangkok.
We will meet at the Photocafe & Photohostel, where you will receive a photography workshop.
After this photography workshop, we walk through Talat Noi and Chinatown.
While you take pictures, we will teach you about photography.
We will have lunch together, and in the afternoon we walk to the Kudichin area.
Our goal is to teach you about photography and show you the local Bangkok lifestyle.
The black & white analogue photography workshop
This black & white analog photography workshop in Bangkok is a hands-on experience from start to finish. Participants will learn how to use an analog camera, understand light and exposure, and shoot with intention on film.
We focus on slowing down, observing the city, and thinking carefully before pressing the shutter.
After photographing in Bangkok, you will develop your own black & white film and watch your images come to life.
The workshop covers the full analog process, from camera handling to film development.
2-day Muay Thai documentary photography masterclass
This two-day documentary photography workshop takes place inside a real Muay Thai training camp and focuses on learning how to create strong visual stories.
We will explore what makes a documentary image powerful, how to build trust with your subject, and how to move from single photos to a complete story.
During the workshop, you will create your own 8–12 photo documentary series, focusing on the professional Muay Thai boxer Tarzan, capturing his training, discipline, and the intensity behind the fighter.

I discovered photography at a young age and knew early on that storytelling through images would shape my life. Born in Holland, I began studying at the Photo Academy in the Netherlands at the age of fifteen.
For more than 30 years, I have worked as a professional photographer, and in recent years, my focus has shifted strongly toward documentary photography.
Traveling and connecting with local communities continue to inspire me.
I am driven to tell stories that capture social and political realities, to inform and create awareness.
In 2017, this work was recognized with the Monovisions Award and the National Geographic Public Award Benelux in the Human category.
I moved to Thailand in 2021, where I am now based.
I am the owner of Photohostel & Photocafe, located in a 200-year-old renovated Taiyuan building in Talat Noi, Chinatown.
Alongside my photography, I work as a producer for international productions and documentary films.
My latest documentary, Anything for a Better Future, is distributed worldwide by Mailuki Films.
