I discovered photography at a young age and knew early on that storytelling through images would shape my life. Born in Holland, I began studying at the Photo Academy in the Netherlands at the age of fifteen.
For more than 30 years, I have worked as a professional photographer, and in recent years, my focus has shifted strongly toward documentary photography.
Traveling and connecting with local communities continue to inspire me.
I am driven to tell stories that capture social and political realities, to inform and create awareness.
In 2017, this work was recognized with the Monovisions Award and the National Geographic Public Award Benelux in the Human category.
I moved to Thailand in 2021, where I am now based.
I am the owner of Photohostel & Photocafe, located in a 200-year-old renovated Taiyuan building in Talat Noi, Chinatown.
Alongside my photography, I work as a producer for international productions and documentary films.
